2025.09.19
On Friday, November 15st, the Jikei Science Seminar "The Mysteries of Sleep - Why does sleep change as we age?" will be held in the seminar room on the XNUMXth floor of Nakanoshima Qross, Jikei Nakanoshima Center.
Sleep is an important function that is essential for maintaining mental and physical health. As we age, many people feel that their sleep is shallow or that they wake up easily during the night. These changes are thought to be related to the onset and progression of age-related diseases.
The mechanisms by which sleep changes as we age are still not fully understood.
This lecture will focus on the neurotransmitters and neural circuits that work in the brain, and provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the changes in sleep that occur with aging.
