On Monday, March 30th, we held the "Beyond EXPO Future Co-creation Forum" at the Qrossover Lounge Yume on the 2nd floor of Nakanoshima Qross.

This event was organized by the Yumeshima New Industry and Urban Development Organization, with the cooperation of the Future Medical Promotion Foundation, and supported by the Kinki Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Kansai Association of Corporate Executives, and the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This forum was held as a kickoff event with the aim of inheriting the legacy of the Osaka-Kansai Expo and connecting it to the social implementation of future co-creation in the "Beyond EXPO" era. Approximately 150 people from industry, academia, and government participated on the day, and it was met with high interest, reaching its capacity early on.

In the first part, Mr. Juichi Yamagiwa (Director of the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature / Chairman of the Osaka-Kansai Expo Kyoto Promotion Committee), Mr. Hiroshi Ishiguro (Professor (Honorary Professor) of the Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University / Visiting Director of the Ishiguro Hiroshi Special Laboratory, Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International), Mr. Yoshiki Sawa (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Japan Medical Promotion Foundation / Chairman of the Board of Directors of Osaka Police Hospital / Specially Appointed Professor, Osaka University), Mr. Yasushi Misawa (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Government (Kansai)), and Ms. Kyoko Hirose (Vice President of the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry / President and CEO of Hirose Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) took the stage and gave lectures from their respective fields of expertise on value creation and the nature of international co-creation in post-Expo society.

In the subsequent second part, a panel discussion was held, moderated by Tomoyuki Takahashi (Executive Officer, Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc.). The speakers from the first part returned to the stage to discuss the theme of "Beyond EXPO: Co-creating the Future - From Concept to Social Implementation Model." A lively exchange of opinions took place regarding a vision of the future that connects people, society, regions, and the world in a multi-layered way, centered on keywords such as "fluctuation," "resilience," and "microcosm."

Following the event, a networking session was held, fostering lively exchanges between speakers and participants. This forum served as a starting point for new challenges toward "Beyond EXPO," demonstrating the potential for collaboration across fields and positions.
